A visit to explore the idyllic nature of Kauai

Kauai is rich in mountains and waterfalls, with an attractive coastline;  It is located in the Hawaiian chain, and possesses a lot of plants , which explains its nickname "Garden Island".  A tour of Kauai requires two full days, with a pass through the most famous tourist places.

 Na Pali Coast State Park

A shot at Na Pali Coast State Park

The scenery in the park is wonderful, with mountains, cliffs, waterfalls and green plants , with the Na Pali coast in the northwest of the island being one of the most inaccessible parts of Kauai.  The mountain range attracts climbers, especially as it rises 3,938 feet.  There, plants abound, and sandy beaches.

The Na Pali Coast Kauai Snorkel and Sail cruise combines the fun and excitement of a Pacific Ocean cruise with unforgettable scenery, as you approach the cliffs of Na Pali from the ocean.  There, you can snorkel among the coral and fish or go hiking on the Na Pali coast.

 Kukai State Park

Kukai State Park is an extension of Waimea Valley Park and contains the deepest parts of the valley, with another place of interest being the Kalalau Lookout, which offers views of the 4,000-foot cliffs of the Napali Coast.  Slopes are often foggy, so perfect visibility cannot be guaranteed.

The Koke'e Museum of Natural History focuses on the weather, geology, botany, wildlife, and culture of Hawaii.

 Kauai's best beaches

It is necessary to check the weather , before swimming in the beaches of Kauai.

The beaches along the island's northern coast tend to be rougher during the summer, but many are intermittently closed, due to flooding.  Therefore, it is always important for the tourist to be aware of the climatic conditions, before swimming anywhere.  In this context, Ke'e Beach is famous for its coral reefs, while the Tunnels Beach is intended for snorkeling, and the Secret Beach is more tempting to sunbathe than swim, because the currents are strong and the waves are harsh.

The best beach on the island for children is Anini Beach, which is also located on the north coast, and has a good range of facilities, with the possibility to sign up to learn the basics of windsurfing and snorkeling.

In addition, Polihali Beach is located on the western side of Kauai, and is arguably the most romantic beach, especially at sunset.
